Sometimes, we don’t take action because we have no perception or cognizance of what is happening in our sphere of influence. If we knew, we might do something about it. At TWI, we see this as the first step to changing our world. We promote weighted awareness of the issues that prevail in our communities often marginalized and underserved by various institutions such health, mental health, financial, education, etc.
Knowledge
Knowledge provides us with information and understanding about our environment, our communities. Knowledge is about learning from what has been and now, what we must do to change the situation given the different prevailing perspectives. Knowledge gives the opportunity to find solutions, make informed decisions of what we want to change and how. Ultimately it empowers us to change our own circumstances for a better future.
Skills
The expertise and abilities to undertake the needed tasks of change and transformation. Developing and refining needed skills can lead to improved outcomes for the different change initiatives we undertake. Honing our skills is a continuous process which requires us to stay informed of new knowledge and changing perspectives.
Tools
We offer tools and templates that are adapted to planned tasks and/or specific to achieve certain goals. If such instruments are unavailable we will work with diverse representatives within the organization to ascertain intended purpose and desired outcome to develop tools for a variety of purposes such as assessment, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation.
