Health Education

TeamWorks International, LLC (TWI) provides awareness and knowledge through consultation, training workshops, and technical assistance to leaders and administrations, and organizations/systems and  communities that address equity in health and education. TWI focuses on individuals, families and communities that are marginalized and underserved due to inequities within service organizations. Our services include beyond awareness and knowledge building to implementing strategies to improve access and utilization of services within the health and educational context.

Racial and ethnic disparities in health and education are known to impact access to health care services  and educational opportunities.  There is additional evidence that inequity in treatment of groups and people with low socio-economic status continues to exacerbate the divide in health status and education attainment within our society.  TWI will assist in examining how inequities arise in our health care and educational systems and look at those factors that contribute to such inequities.  Prevailing attitudes, expectations, and behavior within leadership, organizations, and systems will be analyzed, and strategies for changing policies and practices will be offered for implementation and evaluation.
